Buffer

Buffer is your trusted friend to keep the lumber mill running when minor interruptions occur.

When waiting is needed. When a sorting or grading line encounters a short delay, balancing different production speeds is needed for optimized throughput. Lumber buffer is used as waiting conveyor system, to temporarily receive and store the lumber flow coming from the previous process phase. Buffers prevent production stoppages when downstream machinery has a jam or other interruption.

Jartek automated lumber buffers can be fitted to both new and existing lumber handling processes, always engineered to meet each customer's specific requirements and site conditions.

Jartek Buffer

Jartek’s new-generation buffering solution saves valuable production space while enabling flexible handling of multiple lumber dimensions on the same line.

Benefits of Jartek Buffer

Buffer
  • Increased Production Availability

Buffering reduces the impact of short production interruptions, helping the sawline and downstream processes continue operating with fewer unnecessary stoppages.

  • Higher Utilization of Existing Capacity

By stabilizing production flow and reducing downtime losses, the buffer helps sawmills get more output from existing equipment and infrastructure.

  • Reduced Operational Losses

Automatic buffering minimizes production disruptions, improves flow efficiency and helps reduce costs caused by idle time, manual interventions and process interruptions.
