ThermalWood Canada Inc., based in Bathurst, New Brunswick, is a specialist producer of thermally modified wood products known for its ability to process over 200 different wood species. As demand for customized thermal modification solutions continued to grow, the company sought a technology partner capable of supporting its ambitions for flexibility, quality, and innovation.

To strengthen its production capabilities, ThermalWood Canada selected Jartek to deliver a modern thermal modification kiln solution designed to support small-batch production, specialty species processing, and long-term operational development. The goal was to improve process control, increase production flexibility, and modernize operations with state-of-the-art thermal modification technology.

 

The Solution – What Jartek Delivered

Jartek delivered a compact 3 m³ thermal modification kiln tailored to ThermalWood Canada’s highly specialized production model. The solution enables efficient processing of rare and custom wood species while providing greater flexibility than traditional large-scale kilns.

Beyond the equipment itself, Jartek supported the project through collaborative design work, on-site installation assistance, commissioning support, and remote monitoring capabilities. The system allows ThermalWood Canada to optimize production processes in real time while benefiting from continuous technical support and operational expertise from Jartek’s team.
